Since 1953, sessions of training for dentists were organized on both sides of the Rhine. The "Odonto-Stomatological Group of the Upper Rhine Region" was officially established April 8, 1967. It brings together faculty members of Dental Surgery University of Basel, Freiburg i. Br. and Strasbourg, health professionals from the three countries as well as students, not to mention the orders of the SSO Basel, Alsace and South Baden.
Activities
The "Odonto-Stomatological Group of the Upper Rhine Region" activities primarily offer vocational training scientific debates on topical issues affecting the profession.
A major event that brings together speakers from among the teachers of the three universities, motivated students, young scientists and practitioners from the three countries is hold in early November on the theme of continuing education.
Everyone speaks in his own language; simultaneous translations are available. The "Oberrheinische" is many years since the vector of ordinals exchanges between Switzerland, Germany and France.
In the year 2010/2011 an Erasmus partnership was signed between the three universities and Faculties of Dental Surgery to promote exchanges of teachers and students and develop their skills of health professionals in a multicultural context.
The "Oberrheinische" was the vehicle for establishing such a partnership.
